ON HER WAY…

Greetings of the Season to you as in Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah with a grand 2025 to each of you!

R Star Foundation’s Founder/Director Rosalind Russell embarks on another six-week journey to support the women and children in need as she has done since 2003. Rosalind remains dedicated and will carry out the mission to bring hope and more avenues for sustainable and better lives to those who face unimaginable hardships with education, goats, and other opportunities.

Part of Rosalind’s travel agenda will be to visit the newest computer lab at the in Methinkot Village, Shree Sansaridevi Basic School, which has been in operation, thanks to Hari Chimouriya who orchestrated the entirety of the lab, desks, 85” monitor for teaching, and installation in the record breaking time of 3 weeks! (The lab opened late September, 2024). The 173 children have eagerly attended computer classes, their eyes sparkling with excitement of learning what few rural students have available to them as she has been told).

The Nepali custom is to dedicate and celebrate a major accomplishment as this is, for the children of the 3 villages. Rosalind will be honored at the school which will be colorfully adorned with decorations and the air is sure to be filled with the scent of traditional Nepalese cuisine. She enjoys the spicy foods of Nepal.

Rosalind is excited to be part of gifting more goats to a selected village of dismissed and destitute women while she is there overseeing what has been done and what the villagers wish to embark on. She expects to visit a few of the established 50 previously goat-gifted with microfinancing villages. This will be challenging. The monsoons destroyed newly built roads to reach many them. (Over 100 villagers died during the recent monsoon season because of the extraordinarily harsh rains causing flooding and landslides).
