FATHER’S Day and Summer is here! Let us celebrate

What wonderful things we are celebrating together! Remembering our Dads are delightful and memorable. Every dad wants the same thing he’ll never say out loud: to feel like he still matters.
The 21st of June is a day to acknowledge because we celebrate Dad and the 1st day of Summer. You know how hard it is to buy a Father’s Day gift that doesn’t end up shoved in a drawer? This idea’s different. Our short story may help you decide if we can be a good answer for honoring your dad.

We blasted out of May by donating another 2 villages with goats, 102, at the conclusion of the time we can gift villages this season. Two villages had been on a ‘waiting list’ for 2 years. They were excited and pleased we would gift them goats. The 2 villages are ‘Dalits’, outcasts, the lower rung of the caste system of Hindu’s. Essentially, they are excluded to this day from most government assistance. We are delighted to lift all castes.

A couple of shared photos, note the red hat Rabin created on his own and paid for personally to have a ‘team’ look for the volunteers! Rosalind, (Founder) can’t wait to receive one of her own!

Prior to the gifted goats, Rabindra Sitaula, our Nepali Director, was called to attend an event which wasn’t disclosed to him at the time of the invitational calls. Three times he was called to make certain he would arrive.
Rabin did attend what 3 different villages were doing, around 150 people were present. They’re past villages who years back received goats. When Rabin arrived, he was surprised to learn the celebration was about R Star being celebrated along with Peace in the World! Women gathered to share the joy of being in R Star goat groups. Women from three different villages/6 groups created the event organized by themselves. They also shared about each other & food cooked by themselves. “I (Rabin), was happy to represent R Star for such an event”. As an aside, it is uncommon for the women to gather from different villages with the purpose to get to know each other or celebrate.

Per Rabindra, “Members of 6 R Star goat group lit 120,000 handmade, cotton lights for peace in the world during the celebration. It was amazing to be a part of this surprising event! Every woman asked me about you (Rosalind), and blessed you for providing such an opportunity of financial growth with the goats and microfinancing. I did greet them from you and told them your blessings are always upon them”.

Certificates of Appreciation were issued to Rabin, to R Star and to Rosalind, the founder. What an honor to be bestowed upon us! It is a first! What made it more memorable was Rabin’s dad was with him to witness the work we have been doing for more than 23 years as volunteers, and how villagers know we helped them to financial stability.

Next, we are researching projects aimed at education before the goat gifting season reopens. Education lifts suppressed societies eager to do better. Our last educational project was 6 new computers to gifted writers who wish to be professional journalists. Gargi Media is mentoring the women who are all doing exceedingly well, which Gargi reported. The schools we gave computers to are still flourishing. The students love computer classes the most.
