The R STAR FOUNDATION of Laguna Beach, (a foundation in this city for 12 years, which works with abandoned women and children; gays, in different phases of their lives; also a hands on hospital ministry with STAR KITTY, who visits patients; and a prison ministry and more), is sending Rev. Rosalind Russell, to NYC for a week in a show of support to the airlines, the hotels, and restaurants, but additionally & particularly, to work with the relief workers and NYFD.
She departs on her trip this coming Sunday the 21st. She is most excited about the opportunity to get a personal feel of what is concerning all of us these days since September 11th. She states that her work has altered dramatically since the 11th with the needs of others being met in much more prayer, comforting, and reassuring. She is greatly touched with all the fears of each person she works with and felt drawn to assist in the beckoning of the President to get on with life without worrying, but by doing. It is felt that her example will assist those she works with and be an inspiration to others to perhaps, do the same or more.
